A Step by step guide

Authentic

Authentic Red Tamales with an extra delicious, shredded meat filling, that taste better than anything you can get at a restaurant. Tamales are an ultimate dish craved around the world!

Masa

Broth

Shredded meat

Vegetable shortening

Salt &  baking powder

Red Sauce

Husks

In the bowl of a stand mixer add the shortening, salt, and baking powder.

Mix until it's light and fluffy.

Alternate wet and dry ingredients

Start with  some masa

of the sauce and mix. Continue alternating until done and masa is light and fluffy.

To test when the masa is ready, add a dollop of it in a glass with cold water: if it floats, then it's ready!!!

on husk, then add the meat and any other fillings. 

Spread masa 

Then fold and tie.

Gather all ingredients:

Steam Tamales for one hour

Spread masa 

When ready, dough should pull away from the husk easily not leaving any wet masa on the husk.

Serve hot with a side of beans and enjoy the most delicious tamales you'll ever have!
