Mexican Christmas Punch

Warm up with this classic Ponche Mexicano! 

* dried hibiscus flowers * tamarindo pods * cinnamon stick  * piloncillo or sugar  * cloves

Tea Ingredients

* tejocotes or/and apples  * pears chopped * guavas  * sugarcane sticks  * mandarins or oranges  * prunes, raisins or cranberries * peanuts, walnuts or pecans

The Fruits

Step 1

Boil the jamaica, tamarindo pods, cinnamon sticks, cloves and piloncillo/sugar. Cover and boil for about 15 minutes. Strain. 

Step 2

Add all of the fruit, cover and bring to a soft boil. 

Step 3

Cook for 15 minutes and leave a little crunch on the fruit. So good!

Serve hot  and add a little "piquete" (tequila or rum) if you want!
