Start by washing the guavas thoroughly. Then, remove the ends and slice them in halves. Place the guava into a blender and add the 4 cups water.
Blend until you have a smooth puree.
Using a fine mesh strainer placed over a large container, strain the puree to remove the seeds.
Discard the seeds. Squeeze fresh lime juice if using any, stir and taste. If it needs more sugar, add a little bit at the time to your liking.
Transfer the mixture into a large jar or pitcher refrigerate the Agua de Guayaba until it’s well chilled. Serve in a glass with cubed ice and enjoy!
