Equipment

  • Blender

Ingredients

  • 6 to 7 fresh ripe guavas
  • 4 cups water
  • cup white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice optional

Instructions

  • Start by washing the guavas thoroughly. Then, remove the ends and slice them in halves.
  • Place the guava into a blender and add the 4 cups water. Blend until you have a smooth puree.
  • Using a fine mesh strainer placed over a large container, strain the puree to remove the seeds. Transfer the juice to a pitchen, add the ⅓ cup sugar and mix until it dissolves.
  • Squeeze fresh lime juice if using any, mix and taste. If it needs more sugar, add a little bit at the time to your liking.
  • Refrigerate the Agua de Guayaba until it's well chilled. Serve in a glass with ice and enjoy!
