Ingredients

  • 4 cups water (32 ounces)
  • 3 medium cinnamon sticks
  • Optional: Honey or sweetener of your choice

Instructions

  • Place the water in a kettle or saucepan and bring it to a boil.
  • Once the water reaches a boil, add the cinnamon sticks to the water. You can either break them into smaller pieces or leave them whole for a stronger flavor.
  • Reduce the heat to low and let the cinnamon sticks simmer in the water for about 5-10 minutes. This allows the flavors to infuse into the water.
  • After simmering, use a fine mesh strainer to remove the cinnamon sticks from the water, ensuring a smooth tea without any residue.
  • If desired, add honey or your preferred sweetener to the tea while it's still warm. Stir well to dissolve.

Notes

Ensure you have high-quality cinnamon sticks. Ceylon or Cassia cinnamon both work well for this recipe.
