Ingredients

  • 16 ounce water
  • 3 to 4 cinnamon sticks
  • honey or your preferred sweetener to serve optional
  • lemon or orange wedges to serve optional

Instructions

  • Bring the 2 cups of water to a gentle boil in a pot. Once the water reaches a boil, add the cinnamon sticks to the pot. Reduce the heat to low and steep the tea for 10-15 minutes.
  • If you like sweet tea, add honey or sugar to taste while it's hot. Stir the mixture until the sweetener dissolves. Additionally, a few citrus slices can add a refreshing twist to your tea.
  • Turn off the heat and let it steep for another 5 minutes. Strain the tea to remove the cinnamon sticks if needed.
